A SIMULTANEOUS PEACE WALK IN HEXHAM AND METZINGEN

The starting point was Metzingen's town hall at 15.00 on 12th November 2022, timed to be exactly at the same time as the Hexham Peace Walk. It was organised by the Town Twinning Metzingen-Hexham Association in cooperation with the Metzingen Round Table for Peace.

The Peace Walk included several stops that were of particular significance in World War One. In these places there were readings of texts written by witnesses at that time who came from Hexham, Noyon and Metzingen.

There were also new texts dealing with the war in Ukraine and other countries.

The caption of the article in Metzingen's local paper reads "Peace is a Fragile Thing".
