Metzingen's poster for the Peace Walk, right, was published by the Town Twinning Metzingen-Hexham Association in cooperation with the Metzingen Round Table for Peace. Starting point: Metzingen's town hall at 15.00 on 12th November 2022.

The poster has the following text: "It was from Hexham that the suggestion of a simultaneous peace walk in the twin towns Metzingen and Hexham came in commemoration of the end of World War One in 1918. This is an important local gesture at a time when war again rages in Europe. The Peace Walk includes several stops that were of particular significance in World War One. In these places there will be readings of texts written by witnesses at that time who came from Hexham , Noyon and Metzingen. There will also be new texts dealing with the war in Ukraine and other countries."
